Agile Team Lead (Infrastructure Enablement) MCAP is a leading mortgage finance company with over $150 billion in assets under management. This role is part of the Information Technology department and is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario. Role The Agile Team Lead is responsible for guiding an Agile Team to deliver work items based on goals and commitments. The Team Lead inspires and empowers the team to self‑organize, coaches the team in agile practices, champions proper agile governance, provides financial and status reporting, and collaborates with other Team Leads to evolve agile practices. Responsibilities Create a Vision document or business case. Meet story readiness criteria and educate story writers on proper content and format. Populate, refine, and prioritize the backlog and align it with Product Vision. Obtain stakeholder feedback for evaluation of projects in progress and identify issues and risks raised by the team. Monitor financial progress, validate accuracy, and forecast resourcing and budget expenditures. Host Steering Committee meetings and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders. Research and pilot agile strategies and practices, establish and recommend agile policies and best practices. Collaborate with other Team Leads to ensure consistency across teams, facilitate movement of work or resources, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. Facilitate stand‑ups, planning sessions, backlog refinement, stakeholder demos, and retrospectives. Resolve impediments, manage issues and risks, maintain Agile Team Dashboard with KPIs such as velocity, and empower the team to optimize processes. Ensure resources are available, keep current with agile trends, educate, inspire, and encourage full participation of team members. Operational Management Lead the team through lifecycle phases: Inception, Construction, and Transition. Facilitate team retrospectives, decision‑making, and continuous improvement planning. Maintain dashboards and KPIs to support continuous improvement and transparency. What You Bring to the Team 2+ years’ experience in an Agile environment as an Agile Coach, Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Product Owner. Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred. Excellent communication, mentoring, facilitation, and coaching skills. Experience using Azure DevOps or comparable agile delivery tools. Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery. Organized, detail‑oriented, disciplined, and a self‑starter with high motivation. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for continuous improvement. Post‑secondary degree or diploma; Agile certification; PMP or PMI‑ACP preferred.
