Assistant Director of Care - Temporary Full time Join AgeCare as an Assistant Director of Care in our Long‑Term Care residence. This temporary full‑time role involves collaborating with the senior management team to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate resident care activities according to approved policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Ensure residents' care is evaluated continuously. Work closely with the Registered Staff team and the RAI‑MDS Coordinator to ensure appropriate documentation is in place, as per policy, and to ensure regulatory compliance. Review and audit Point‑Click‑Care documentation including progress notes, care plans, and resident assessments. Audit resident care plans quarterly and ensure documentation accurately reflects resident care requirements. Respond to resident or family concerns and take appropriate action within decision‑making authority or bring them to the attention of the Director of Care. Qualifications Sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long‑term care nursing, including activation, nursing, and personnel administration. Knowledge of the Nursing Homes Act, the Homes for Special Care Act, the Extended Care Program Directives, The Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food & Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada) and related federal, provincial, and municipal statutes. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Post‑graduate studies in nursing, nursing administration, or geriatrics is considered an asset. Compensation Salary: $95,000.00 per year – salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
