About Us The Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice‑principals, teachers, and support staff nurture student well‑being and challenge students to achieve their best. We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Castlefrank Elementary School . Castlefrank ES has approximately 325 students in JK to grade 3 enrolled in the Regular English Program and Early French Immersion Program. The staff are dedicated to lifelong learning, constantly upgrading their skills by participating in after‑school workshops, summer courses, and curriculum development. Our classes include an LLD class and outdoor education starting in Kindergarten with a strong forest‑school component. Teachers plan and update units of study together for classroom use. Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board’s Strategic Plan by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human‑rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement, and well‑being. Eligibility All occasional teachers are eligible to apply for long‑term occasional postings for which they are qualified. Qualifications If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply if you have the required qualifications. Order of consideration for Elementary LTOs is: current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by qualified external applicants. Required OCT Divisional Qualifications: Primary. Required OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1. Additional requirements (experience, knowledge, education) considered an asset: N/A. Additional information: N/A.
