What You’ll Be Doing CIBC Capital Markets provides corporate, government, and institutional clients with innovative solutions to raise capital and grow and invest throughout North America, Latin America, and key financial centers worldwide. CIBC’s Investment Banking group offers equity and debt underwriting, corporate finance advisory, and advisory services on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, buyouts, takeover defense, and restructurings. The Associate role is fast-paced and challenging, requiring analytical, research, and presentation support and mentoring analysts across global offices. How You’ll Succeed Project management – Assist in analyzing and developing proposals for mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions; prepare industry and financial analysis to determine client recommendations. Relationship building – Participate in cross-functional teams and liaise with CIBC Capital Markets units to execute mandates or prepare proposals. Research and analytics – Lead analytical, research, and presentation preparation, including offering memoranda, marketing materials, industry comparables, and precedent transaction analyses.
