Cloud Security Architect

Job Description As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Cloud Security Architect to join Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), in our Toronto office or Montreal office. In this role you will help our enterprise customers in designing and implementing secure cloud solutions, on Google & AWS. This role bridges cloud architecture with cybersecurity, ensuring that infrastructure, applications, and data are resilient, compliant, and protected against evolving threats. The architect works closely with engineering, security, and business teams to define cloud security strategy, design reference architectures, and guide secure adoption of cloud‑native services. Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities. It plays a key role in Sopra Steria's end-to-end services. Responsibilities Design, build, implement, secure, and support international cloud infrastructure Align organizational security strategy and cloud infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy Identify security design gaps and recommend changes or enhancements Implement security by design in all business projects Support the deployment of Cybersecurity Solutions in cloud environments Co‑design activities alongside solution architects and engineers Write architecture documents and present outcomes to architecture board Perform architecture review and provide analysis for internal and external auditors as required Evaluate business risks associated with security role design, request implementation of appropriate controls to address those risks, and provide recommendations on ways to simplify and streamline the security design Support management of all security related project milestones and tasks, run task lists, assign owners, track completion Work closely together with other project groups to stay in synch on common goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Senior level only, at least 8+ years of experience Experience in designing architecture and deployment of Google Cloud and AWS Experience designing / managing cloud architecture concepts, building industry solutions, and deploying them through hyper‑scalers A high level of initiative and flexibility Organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively in a challenging environment to drumbeat the activity Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills Previous work in a multicultural environment English required / French is a plus Additional Information Competitive salary and annual performance bonus Comprehensive benefits package : life insurance, long‑term disability, health care, dental, vision, and a health spending account to support your well‑being (Sopra Steria covers 100% of premiums) Paid time off : sick leave, personal days, and 3 weeks of vacation Monthly transportation allowance Excellent training, development, and career advancement opportunities , with active support to strengthen your skills in a caring, collaborative, and inclusive company culture Hybrid work environment Provided equipment to ensure optimal productivity Sopra Steria is certified as a “Great Place to Work” Sopra Steria is an equal opportunity employer.
