In this position at Transco Rail Services, you will work on a rotating 12-hour shift in a hands-on role. You'll handle cutting, welding, air arc gouging, and inspect inbound rail cars. Your detail-oriented approach will ensure compliance with AAR standards and safety protocols across various repairs for tank and hopper railcars.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform cutting and welding repairs on rail cars
• Conduct air arc gouging as required
• Prepare and maintain repair documentation
• Inspect inbound rail cars and follow procedures
• Complete quality control checks for repairs
Requirements:
• Strong mechanical background with hand tools
• Prior railcar repair experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
