About the Role As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will support civil/structural design activities, including evaluation of multiple structural systems such as steel members, reinforced concrete, and composite steel. You will report to the Manager, BOP Structures & Architectural Design and be located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. A hybrid work arrangement of 2‑3 days per week in the office will be required. Key Responsibilities Address and resolve technical issues related to the design of building structures. Handle technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of civil/structural projects. Provide technical justification for design changes and troubleshoot emergent technical issues. Offer on‑site support at multiple utilities, sites, and smaller projects. Use analytical tools such as ANSYS, LS‑DYNA, and GTSTRUDL; maintain software compliance records and close engineering corrective actions. Familiarize yourself with applicable industry civilstructural codes (AACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS) and company procedures; develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering. At least 5 years of experience required. Prior experience in civil/structural evaluations is required. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or plan to obtain PE is preferred. Benefits Great compensation package.
