Handle fish and shellfish in a seasonal processing position requiring physical strength, attention to detail, and manual dexterity. Training is provided.
This fish processing plant labourer position requires no degree, certificate, diploma, or previous experience. You will unload, transport, sort, weigh, pack, condition, and prepare fish and shellfish. Work occurs in odorous, cold or refrigerated, and wet or damp environments. English or French is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels
- Transport products by hand or forklift
- Condition fillets for wrapping or freezing
- Weigh, record, and pack fish in ice
- Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements:
- No previous experience required; training provided
- Ability to handle loads up to 23 kilograms
- Comfort working in cold, wet, and odorous conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliability, flexibility, and efficient interpersonal skills
Use careful sorting, packing, and material handling skills in seasonal fish processing with English or French workplace communication.
