The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead our talented team in designing and developing automation systems for industrial processing equipment. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our controls strategy driving technical innovation, guiding system design and implementation, and developing a high-performing, engaged team. Success in this role means: Leading with vision and clarity to deliver high-quality, reliable automation systems Empowering your team to grow, innovate, and take ownership Building strong cross-functional partnerships to bring new ideas to life Continuously improving processes and introducing emerging technologies What You’ll Do Provides visionary leadership and mentorship for a team of Controls Engineers, driving high performance, collaboration, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvement. Oversee full lifecycle controls projects: design, programming, testing, and commissioning Develop and implement team goals, KPIs, and long-term strategies aligned with company growth Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources to ensure successful delivery Anticipates staffing and skill needs to support company growth, ensuring teams are aligned and equipped for evolving project demands. Guide PLC and HMI design using Allen-Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and Beckhoff TwinCAT platforms Partner with business development and product teams to execute new product roadmaps Drive continuous improvement standardizing processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing code quality Stay current on automation trends and technologies to keep Parmerit at the forefront of innovation What You Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role within industrial automation or manufacturing Strong knowledge of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, field devices) Experience programming and troubleshooting robotics (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, etc.) Proven ability to manage complex projects balancing scope, quality, and deadlines Excellent people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards (NFPA 79, IEC 61131, ISO 13849, CSA, UL, CE) Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and commissioning Why Join Parmerit/Adescor Be part of a growing company investing in innovation and technology Lead a skilled, motivated team with the freedom to shape how things are done Collaborate on exciting projects across industries and technologies Enjoy a culture that values teamwork, curiosity, and continuous improvement Compensation The expected base salary range for this position is $98,000 to $122,000 per year.
