Base pay range CA$80,000.00/yr - CA$135,000.00/yr Melo LLP is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager— or a Manager ready to advance—to join our reputable public accounting practice. This is a fully remote position. The ideal professional will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and a proven ability to manage and cultivate client relationships within the public accounting sector. Responsibilities Lead and manage a portfolio of audit, tax, and advisory engagements. Plan engagements, including scope, resourcing, and budgeting. Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, auditing, and tax matters. Mentor, coach, and develop managers, seniors, and junior team members. Conduct performance reviews and support staff development. Ensure adherence to professional standards, internal policies, and risk management processes. Identify and pursue business development opportunities. Assist partners with strategic planning and client relationship management. Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and related deliverables. Qualifications & Skills 7–12+ years of public accounting experience with progressive leadership. Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian auditing standards. Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex engagements. Excellent communication, client service, and project management skills. Strong business acumen with ability to contribute to firm growth. Proficiency with accounting and audit software; strong MS Office skills. Working Conditions This position is 100% remote. Peak periods (e.g., tax season) may require extended hours. Collaborative environment with opportunities for career advancement.
