Job Overview:

The Director, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining TI Corp's enterprise architecture framework. This includes providing IM/IT architecture services and expert advice to senior staff and clients to support business and technology needs in line with TI Corp's strategic plans, systems, and standards. The position aligns technology strategy with business goals, ensures system integration, and oversees the design and implementation of secure, scalable architectures. This role also reduces technical debt, promotes modernization, and drives the reuse of technology components. As a strategic advisor, the Director collaborates with stakeholders to shape technology roadmaps, optimize shared services, and deliver long-term business value through advanced infrastructure, cloud strategies, and digital solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Defines, develops, implements, maintains, and enforces architecture principles, frameworks, policies, procedures, and standards across the enterprise and adapts as needed based on industry changes.
• Develops and maintains multi-year technology roadmaps, enterprise strategies, and future-state architectural visions to align with business goals.
• Provides technical expertise, advice, and recommendations to executive leadership on solutions, risk assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and product evaluations.
• Leads the creation and maintenance of architecture artifacts, including business, application, information, technology, and security models, within an architecture repository.
• Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, architecture trends, and innovations to guide investment decisions and organizational modernization efforts.
• Facilitates the transition from strategic intent to delivery by supporting the development of enterprise-wide technology strategies and implementation plans.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, including solution architects, business leaders, and technical teams, to align technology solutions with business priorities.
• Oversees the health and rationalization of the application portfolio, addressing technical debt and recommending improvements to optimize performance and scalability.
• Governs architectural standards, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and participates in the architecture review board.
• Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to IM/IT team members, fostering best practices and professional growth.
• Leads or participates in cross-functional initiatives, including planning workshops, strategy sessions, and technology assessments.
• Conducts gap analyses to identify and address discrepancies between current and target states of business and technology architectures.
• Promotes enterprise architecture value by identifying opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and strategic alignment across domains.
• Partners with project managers, product owners, business analyst and other discipline leads to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects, adhering to architectural standards and goals.
• Supports innovation by piloting new technologies and defining reusable architecture building blocks to enable agile and scalable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related IT roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Enterprise architecture related certifications such as TOGAF or Zachman are preferred.
• Expertise in architectural frameworks, including TOGAF or Zachman and their practical application.
• Strong understanding of system development life cycles and methodologies.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in integration technologies, API management, middleware, and legacy system migrations.
• Strong technical knowledge of databases, data modeling, and enterprise data integration tools.
• Experience in creating and communicating roadmaps, blueprints, and strategic enterprise architecture plans.
• Demonstrated ability to align technology strategies with business objectives and assess organizational IT needs.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, privacy and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
• Demonstrated experience using project management methodology and IT change management processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor technical staff, and drive collaborative solutions across departments.
