Join to apply for the Game Developer - Contract role at Twine . This project involves developing a compact, atmospheric horror game designed for a self-service booth experience. The game will run on a Windows PC connected to a TV, with players standing and interacting via just three buttons: forward, turn left, and turn right. The session is intended to last around 20 minutes, beginning with a tutorial screen and starting only when a designated button is pressed. The core gameplay centers on exploration and finding an exit, with a strong emphasis on tension, pacing, and immersive audio cues such as whispers and environmental sounds. A unique mechanic will monitor player microphone input, penalizing excessive noise with tunable sensitivity. At the end of each session, the game should fade to black and display a message before returning to the intro screen or exiting, depending on stability. This initial project may lead to further commissions to expand and refine the concept.
