Support resident comfort and well-being at AgeCare Bow Crest with personal care, feeding assistance, and safe mobility support in Calgary.
This part time Health Care Aide works as a member of the care team, meeting individual resident needs within established competencies. Under Staff Nurse supervision, you will provide thorough basic care and services. Responsibilities include bathing, transfers, meals, treatments, facility travel, and social or therapy functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote comfort through bathing, showering, and washing
- Move residents with walkers, wheelchairs, or mechanical aids
- Assist residents to and from dining areas
- Apply skin creams and bowel protocols as directed
- Support access to beauty, physiotherapy, and recreation activities
Requirements:
- Completion of PCA, HCA 2002, or equivalent certificate
- Current registration with the CLHA
- Strong spoken and written English fluency
- Continuing care or related experience preferred
- Post-secondary education considered an asset
