As the Quality and Education Program Lead, you will lead accreditation and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards in clinical practice and safety. You will support leaders, front-line teams, and the QE team to foster positive, lasting change within our communities. About The Role This role can be performed remotely within BC, with regular travel to our communities in Kelowna, the Lower Mainland, and Victoria for on-site support. The position focuses on leading accreditation efforts, managing quality processes, and developing education and training programs. You will create clinical and safety guidelines, work closely with the QE team, regulatory bodies, and community teams to develop educational resources, implement quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with standards. The role includes providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development to team members, maintaining high standards of care, and using data-driven strategies for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership: Lead accreditation activities for Assisted Living communities Develop research-based educational materials to meet clinical needs Support ongoing quality improvements to enhance care and services Consult on clinical practice and scope of practice with regulatory bodies Education and Training: Assess educational needs and develop resources accordingly Oversee programs to meet legislative, provincial, and accreditation standards Evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as a clinical best practices expert and assist in policy development Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver consistent education and quality programs Model servant leadership, fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and staff Additional Responsibilities: Conduct practice gap assessments and environmental scans Utilize data analytics to enhance safety and quality Develop and implement comprehensive quality and safety plans aligned with organizational goals Requirements Healthcare-related degree (e.g., RN, Dietitian, OT, PT) required Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or related field with clinical experience preferred Gerontology certification or equivalent experience working with seniors Minimum 5 years healthcare leadership experience, preferably in long-term or assisted living Expertise in program development and facilitation (e.g., wound care, diabetes, falls prevention) Familiarity with accreditation processes and healthcare standards Strong understanding of RAI and MDS Proven project management and change leadership skills Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools Willing to travel up to 40% of the time About You You are an experienced healthcare leader passionate about quality, safety, and lifelong learning.
