Canada Cybrid Technology Inc. Full time

Cybrid is a Series A fintech startup building the next generation of crypto-powered global payments infrastructure . Our platform enables fintechs, banks, and enterprises to launch compliant, scalable, and global payment solutions with one API . We bridge the gap between traditional financial rails and blockchain-native payments, helping partners launch faster, bank faster, and pay faster using stablecoins and Bitcoin. With deep expertise across crypto, security, banking, and payments, our team has scaled fintech platforms before and now we’re taking the Cybrid platform worldwide. The Opportunity We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This role is at the center of incident response, internal tooling, and platform reliability , acting as a Level 3 escalation point for Cybrid's production environment. If you thrive on investigating tough issues , enjoy keeping systems stable , and love automating routine work , this role will give you both hands‑on engineering ownership and cross‑functional impact across our platform. You’ll work closely with engineering squads, product teams, and internal stakeholders like Compliance and Support to improve how we monitor, respond, and recover from platform events. This position is remote‑first. We welcome applicants from anywhere in Canada, though we have a preference for candidates in Toronto or Ottawa to support occasional in‑person collaboration. What You’ll Do Handle Level 3 Escalations : Investigate and resolve issues escalated from our Level 2 support team, diving into logs, services, and databases to identify root causes. Respond to Alerts & Incidents : Act as a primary engineer for responding to observability alerts and production incidents: triaging impact, resolving quickly, and driving improvements. Fix What’s Broken : Patch bugs, deploy hotfixes, and implement permanent solutions across our microservices stack (Ruby on Rails, Django, TypeScript). Own Internal Tooling : Build and maintain internal support tooling and portals that help teams like Compliance, Finance, and Support operate efficiently and independently. Improve Observability : Work with our DevOps team to tune metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards for better detection, response, and postmortem learning. Support Platform Reliability : Contribute to the ongoing stability and performance of Cybrid’s infrastructure by improving support workflows, reducing alert fatigue, and automating routine responses. Champion Security‑Aware Operations : Apply best practices for secure operations, principles like: least privilege, secure‑by‑default tooling, and sensitive data handling. What You Bring Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, production support, or full‑stack engineering roles. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application layers (frontend/backend/infrastructure). Proficiency with one or more backend frameworks (Rails, Django, Node, etc.) and scripting (Python, Shell). Experience working with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar. Solid understanding of incident response, defect resolution, and root cause analysis in a production environment. Familiarity with CI/CD systems and managing production deployments. Strong sense of ownership and urgency when working on high‑impact customer issues. Awareness of secure operations practices (least privilege, secrets handling, access controls, etc.). Nice to Have (Assets): Experience with internal tooling, developer portals, or administrative UIs. Fintech or regulated industry experience (banking, payments, compliance). Exposure to stablecoins, blockchain, or crypto‑based infrastructure. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS infrastructure. Comfort working with support ticketing platforms and knowledge bases. Knowledge of SOC1, SOC2, ISO27001 or other compliance frameworks. Why Join Cybrid
