Business Systems Analyst

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Business System Analyst for a 6-month Hybrid contract opportunity. This role is with our Crown corporation client in downtown Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Reliability clearance.

The Business System Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Attend key SAP SAC workshops to understand and document data requirements to support both source planning models and future PowerBI reporting models;
  • Obtain examples of current data sources from business leads and augment with new requirements;
  • Document new requirements and work with Data Architects to create technical design and solution. Complete Business Requirements Document and other required documentation;
  • Document source data and trace current and future data elements through S4 Hana, BW and EDAP;
  • Work with tech design team to unit test data solution;
  • Integrate data solution with business SMEs;
  • Experience in S4 Hana, BW/BeX Query, required – Experience in financial data, COPA, BRIM an asset;
  • Performa data profiling and provide summary results;
  • Gather data requirements to support Financial Modeling. Work with Data Analytics teams and Technical Architecture to document and recommend options for solution design;
  • Accountable to deliver an IT design in collaboration with the SA and Business Lead to meet business needs on programs and projects - Lead in the I2E phase of the DOM;
  • Support the Business Lead or BDA in developing strategic solutions aligned to architecture, standards, principles and best practices by providing business insight;
  • Accountable for defining the solution by utilizing relevant business analysis and business architecture techniques and methodologies.
  • Other related activities and deliverables, as required;

The Business System Analyst must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Must have a degree or Diploma in systems/business administration;
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in writing requirements (Business Analyst)
  • Must have Business Analysis – applied to Data Analytics/Reporting;
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience and/or certification with SAP Cloud, S4 Hana; SAP BW/BeX Query;
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in Client Management;
  • Excellent understanding of business context and mode of operations and ability to facilitate and negotiate;
  • Mature perspective on architecture principles and frameworks and understands principles of iterative development;
  • Experience in AWS, financial data/modelling, COPA, BRIM would be an asset;
  • Business and Data architecture; Experience in capability mapping to ensure tactical and strategic business goals are addressed would be an asset
