CT/X-ray Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging) at Michael Garron Hospital Overview Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures and CT scans at a technical level that does not require constant supervision, exercising independent judgment in applying prescribed ionizing radiation. Travel is a requirement of this position. Education Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent. Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (C.M.R.T.O.). Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy preferred. Qualifications Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience in the last three years preferred. Minimum 2 years helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner) preferred. Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrated organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative within scope of responsibility. Must be available to work evenings, on-call, and statutory holidays. Good work and attendance record required.
