About the opportunity As the Manager, Payroll Tax Delivery, you will lead a global team responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and compliance for our customers. You will set strategic direction, enhance operational efficiency, and drive high customer satisfaction by ensuring taxes are audited, balanced, and reported correctly. This role requires a strong leadership mindset, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and a passion for both team development and process improvement. You will be responsible for: Building an engaged, high-performing team that delivers exceptional payroll tax services Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations for our customers Driving operational excellence by streamlining processes and leveraging data-driven insights Fostering customer success, ensuring high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and creating “raving fans” of our services Collaborating with internal partners to enhance efficiencies and improve tax service delivery What you’ll get to do Lead and Inspire: Oversee a global team of payroll tax professionals, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Payroll Tax Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all payroll tax audits and reporting processes meet regulatory standards and are completed accurately and on time. Strategic Direction: Align team objectives with broader business goals, optimizing workflows and proactively addressing risks. Customer Success and NPS Growth: Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and service enhancements. Process Optimization: Leverage automation and technology to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal partners (e.g., Payroll, Compliance, Customer Success) to improve service delivery and resolve complex tax issues. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs, dashboards, and quality control measures to drive continuous improvement. Team Development and Career Growth: Mentor and develop team members, providing training, feedback, and career growth opportunities. Skills and experience we value Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience: Seven or more years of payroll tax experience, including multi-state tax audits and compliance Leadership: Three or more years of experience leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll tax environment Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, tax agencies, and jurisdictional compliance Customer Focus: Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service, drive high NPS, and build lasting client relationships Process and Project Management: Experience implementing efficiency improvements, automation, and technology-driven solutions Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex tax issues, provide strategic solutions, and drive resolution Collaboration and Communication: Strong ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders What’s in it for you Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
