Childcare Assistant Director – College Plaza Kepler Academy is looking for an Assistant Director at our College Plaza location. Responsibilities

Promote excellence in the delivery of Kepler Academy’s core foundation. Provide a positive work environment, give relevant feedback, communicate with employees and families, ensure proper nutrition, and plan daily activities. Manage daily operations, oversee and lead staff, and achieve business results for the centre. Maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Business account: budgetary, marketing and People management. Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including onboarding and career development planning. Create a workplace culture aligned with the organization’s vision, mission and values. Maintain employee work schedules and steady communication with families.

Build strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a team. Proven leadership in promoting a positive workforce environment. Strong work ethic and excellent organisational, time‑management, written and spoken communication skills. Computer literacy: strong skills in Microsoft Office.

Solid knowledge of the Provincial Child Care Regulations. Business knowledge of basic economics, budgeting and accounting principles. Required qualifications to work at Kepler Academy Minimum of 3 years Early Childhood experience in the childcare industry. Minimum of 1 year in a management role is an asset but not required.

Post‑secondary education in a business‑related field, or experience with finances and budgeting. Child Development Supervisor Certificate (two‑year Diploma in Early Childhood Development or equivalent). Standard First Aid certificate. Current criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search.
