Responsibilities:

  • Review software requirements efficiently.
  • Build architectural diagrams and design documents.
  • Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes.
  • Write programs, configure/package/deploy software.
  • Establish and follow coding standards.
  • Debug and unit test code.
  • Perform peer code reviews.
  • Mentor junior resources.
  • Integrate Guidewire PC/BC/CC/CM systems with downstream systems.
  • Evaluate Guidewire Cloud Platform features and assess its capabilities against business needs.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification is required.
  • Proven experience (5-10+ years) in Guidewire Application Development.
  • Proficiency in Guidewire BC Configuration (PC Configuration knowledge is a plus).
  • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins.
  • Experience coding RESTful APIs and in multiple programming languages (C#, Java, Python).
  • Proficiency with relational databases and SQL (MS SQL Server & Transact SQL preferred).
  • Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Experience with Agile software development tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence).
  • Nice to have: Core Java and Spring Boot, REST APIs, web services, messaging, database systems such as Oracle and Mongo.
