As a Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans and contribute to the holistic health and wellness of our clients, prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders. Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site Work Week Duration: Between 35 to 40 hours Job Duties: Here are some of the main activities and tasks that Massage therapists have to perform, and some of the physical demands they involve:Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plansExplain procedures, risks and benefits to clientsAdminister massage techniques, treating soft tissues and joints of the body through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs and client self-help programsSuggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques for further postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercisesMaintain records of treatments givenMay consult with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists (all in house) when developing treatment plans for clients. Qualifications:Certification by respective college and in good standing • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to ongoing medical education.Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.High on discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, have a strong moral compass and you are compassionate.
