Responsibilities Responsible for overall management and direction of the store and team in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Ensures financial results—including sales, on‑site donations, expenses, and profits—meet or exceed target. Store Performance Ensure performance meets targets in sales, profit, OSDs, production, and productivity. Continuously monitor and set pace of work. Analyze key metrics and take appropriate action. Inspect sales floor for shop‑ability and ensure merchandise productivity. Leadership and Development Lead, direct, and supervise the management team and through them the entire store team. Oversee production and retail sales managers in staff planning, recruiting, selective training. Observe, assess, coach and counsel the team regularly. Develop high‑potential team members for management roles. Maintain a respectful, values‑driven workplace and use open communication tools. Provide recognition and candid feedback. Merchandise Productivity Maximize sales and profit by fully utilizing the OK and Morning Maintenance program. Audit merchandise and prices on the floor. Oversee work schedules to meet customer and donor expectations. Implement merchandise standards, initiatives, and marketing promotions. Plan seasonal back‑stock, merchandising, and strategic programs. Liaise with the recycling program to reduce landfill waste. Donation Management Execute company standards in the Community Donation Center, Donation Drive Fundraiser, and Get to Give programs. Partner with local non‑profit organizations for free receipt of merchandise. Develop community awareness of the CDC and brand benefits. Customer / Donor Service Deliver a positive donor experience, train and coach staff on service expectations. Respond to customer/donor inquiries and complaints. Ensure accurate cash register experience for customers and donors. Seek customer feedback to continuously improve the shopping experience. Loss Prevention and Safety Protect company assets and information. Promote loss prevention awareness by upholding policies. Maintain a safe work environment and support the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Requirements Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to observe, assess, and coach work. Common sense, independent judgment, and decision‑making ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High School diploma; post‑secondary degree preferred. 3+ years results‑driven retail or industrial management experience. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling racks up to 250 lbs. Reaching, bending, stooping, and standing for prolonged periods. Dexterity for complex hand‑eye tasks and computer use. Hearing and verbal communication for interacting with staff and customers. Occasional exposure to hazardous machinery, solvents, and temperature fluctuations. Adjustable work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information FLSA: Exempt.
