Join the StorageGRID team at NetApp Our co‑op program has three key goals: understand the NetApp business, experience enterprise software engineering, and engage and socialize with the community of co‑ops and employees at various social events. Co‑op Program Details NetApp’s Vancouver Technology Center is pioneering the development of AWS and cloud‑compatible object storage software to handle the exponential growth in big data. You will be integrated into our core StorageGRID engineering teams, working alongside experienced engineers. You will learn about industry‑leading data storage technologies, employ the latest tools, and apply engineering best practices. Agile Scrum, continuous integration, automated testing, OO development, and mission‑critical software development will be part of your daily work. Role Focus The Software Development Engineer in Test Co‑op role focuses on automated testing of features and the overall product. You act as a proxy for customers—including Fortune 100 companies—ensuring the product works consistently and meets user expectations. Responsibilities Design and implement software solutions. Investigate and resolve defects. Develop test automation frameworks. Conduct advanced technology investigations and prototyping. Qualifications Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Go, Ruby, JavaScript, or Java. Experience with UI test methods, Linux, HTTP/REST, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Successful completion of one or more operating system courses or related projects. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate within a team of engineers to meet aggressive goals. Familiarity with basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices. Education Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2026 or later.
