seeks Kitchen Supervisor(NOC 62020) to perform the following duties:

Responsible for the overall operation and performance of the kitchen staff on their respective shiftsPlan and direct the activities related to the preparation and the cooking of the foodSupervise and manage kitchen staff, including trainingSet goals and targets, monitor progress, and provide feedback and guidance to ensure that the kitchen staff is meeting the standards of the restaurantMaintain a safe and sanitary working environment ensuring all kitchen staff are properly trained and are following all food safety and sanitation guidelinesMonitor food quality and presentationEnsure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficientlyMonitor and maintain adequate kitchen inventory levelsMaintain a clean and organized kitchen environmentCleaning all equipment and flooring upon closingAct as role model for the new hires and existing team membersProvide constructive and positive feedback to all team membersMust enthusiastically and passionately lead by example while helping to develop a strong team with a high standard of excellence

Required Qualifications:Completion of a college certificate or diploma program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related disciplineMust have food handlers certificate in addition to the educational experienceMinimum three (3) years of work experience as a restaurant cook in a high volumerestaurantMinimum six (6) months of work experience in supervisory role in a high volume restaurant establishmentPrevious experience in training new staff in a high volume food preparation establishmentpossess a deep knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and menuplanning and developmentStrong leadership and communication skillsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of food safety and sanitation standardsWorking knowledge of cost control for food cost and labour costAble to multi-task and work in a high volume fast-paced team environmentExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsA passion for food and cooking to guarantee a high-quality experience for your customersAbility to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibilityMust be mature, patient, professional, and have a growth mindset at all timesAble to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Permanent, Full time Position (32-42 hrs/wk)$23/hr. As well as bi-weekly tip pool.Work schedule varies: must be available 7 days a week, mostly nights and all weekend.
