Job Summary

Our Intermediate Developer, Application Development, will be an addition to our Technology team building custom developed applications from end to end, supporting existing applications, performing data analysis and creating complex reports for various business units.

The Intermediate Developer can expect to collaborate with senior developers to provide technical solutions to key groups such as Legal, Corporate services, Finance and Accounting and Compliance.

Key Accountabilities:

·        Work with developers to build and implement high performant, reliable and scalable web applications.

·        Analyse data and prepare complex reports from various applications for the business. 

·        Adhere to team's security, architectural and design standards while contributing to functional and integration testing.

·        In conjunction with Senior Developers, assist the Development Manager by providing effort estimates for new projects and initiatives.

·        Ensure defect free programming by testing and debugging using available/appropriate tools.  

·        Participate in code reviews.

·        Perform system upgrades for existing applications.

 Qualifications:

·        5+ years of full stack web development, Python, Django.

·        3+ years of experience with database structures and SQL programming.

·        3+ years of experience working with RESTful APIs.

·        3+ years of experience working with Linux, Ubuntu

·        Experience with JIRA and GIT.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills.

·        Strong technical and analytical skills.

·        Ability to debug and resolve technical issues in a short timeframe.

·        Excellent written and spoken English language skills
