SharePoint Delivery Lead

This role is a SharePoint Delivery Lead position with Raise, on behalf of a client responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. The incumbent will lead the transition to a modernized SharePoint environment, combining strategic planning, technical oversight, and stakeholder management to ensure a seamless migration while meeting rigorous government records management standards. Base Pay Range & Compensation CA$72,000 – CA$85,000 per year. Pay rate: $72.00 per hour, depending on experience. Pay is based on T4 classification; an INC classification may also be considered where applicable. Responsibilities Project Planning & Strategy Develop detailed migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, dependencies, and sequencing of activities. Create and maintain a comprehensive project schedule using industry‑standard tools. Establish and standardize processes for: Content review and validation Requirements gathering and documentation Site delivery and deployment End‑user training and enablement Data migration planning and execution Progress tracking, reporting, and governance Define and execute rollout strategies for SharePoint sites across the organization. Governance & Risk Management Manage project risks and issues proactively, including identification, assessment, mitigation strategies, and escalation processes. Define and enforce governance frameworks, including approval gates, quality assurance checkpoints, and compliance reviews. Establish and monitor project budgets, tracking costs against forecasts and managing financial variances. Track and manage dependencies between migration activities and other organizational initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Develop and manage a structured engagement timeline with business units, clearly defining milestones, responsibilities, and collaboration workflows. Maintain a robust communication plan, providing timely updates to stakeholders and leadership. Report project status and key milestones to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals. Execution & Delivery Oversight Manage migrations and delivery of SharePoint sites using Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO) for task and sprint management. Oversee design and implementation of M365 data repository aligned with Government Records Management Standards. Develop retention label strategy leveraging MS Purview to support the Records Management Framework. Provide leadership and guidance on technical design decisions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and compliance standards. Change Management & Training Drive change management and communication plans to ensure smooth transition and user adoption. Plan and deliver comprehensive training programs, including creation of training materials and facilitation of sessions. Conduct workshops to: Address existing pain points Develop delivery roadmaps Implement enhancements to improve user experience Project Closure & Continuous Improvement Ensure documentation of lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement and future migrations. Qualifications 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology or digital workplace projects. PMP certified (or in progress). 3+ large SharePoint migrations (100+ sites each), including on‑prem/DFS to SharePoint Online. Knowledge of M365 / SharePoint Online, including site architecture, permissions, metadata, and modern site design. Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for work management. Familiarity with migration tools such as ShareGate or equivalent. Understanding of Records Management, retention labels, and Microsoft Purview. Strong stakeholder communication skills, with experience managing cross‑functional teams and end‑user change/adoption.
