Engage in high‑impact work on highways, bridges, traffic engineering and rail transit systems, delivering innovative solutions for modern multimodal roadway systems and safe, reliable travel. What You’ll Be Challenged To Do Lead design, construction, operations and maintenance of commuter, light and heavy rail transit systems. Deliver innovative technical work, schedule and plan to achieve time, quality and cost targets as part of cross‑disciplinary teams or on behalf of clients. Take on a broad range of systems engineering activities and plan work packages using project management methods. Apply strong technical capability in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) analysis methods and excellent communication skills to perform RAMS‑related activities for the rail industry. Key Responsibilities Define RAMS plans for specific projects and transit agencies. Establish processes related to RAMS using industry best practices. Specify RAMS metrics, key performance indicators and RAMS targets for electronic, electro‑mechanical and train‑based systems. Serve as trusted adviser on all RAMS matters for GFT clients. Perform System Hazard Analysis, Operating and Support Hazard Analysis, and Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis on multiple systems. Execute the RAMS plan for green‑field and brown‑field developments. Support continuous development of RAMS activities for ongoing projects. Provide technical consultancy on RAMS, integration, validation & verification and other system engineering activities. Apply best‑practice systems engineering techniques to support work in the region. Extract technical and functional requirements from tender documents to create RAMS requirements. Follow company, safety, quality, environmental, commercial and project management procedures relevant to tasks undertaken. Mentor, coach and develop staff. What You Will Bring To Our Firm Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field. Registered Professional Engineer is an asset but not mandatory. Preferred Experience 15+ years of experience in safety applied to rail systems. Experience executing system safety activities in urban rail projects. Proven ability to work successfully in multi‑disciplinary teams and across different business units. Team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in a project environment with strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills. Experience with CENELEC EN 50126, 50129 and 50716. Experience with CSA R114:22.
