In this role, you will lead national quality and food safety standards across beer and RTD manufacturing to protect product integrity and minimize risk. You will oversee quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while managing a team of three, including Consumer Relations and Microbiology specialists.**Key Responsibilities****Quality Strategy and Leadership*** Define and implement the corporate quality strategy to optimize manufacturing processes and achieve business objectives.* Develop and lead the national food safety strategy, ensuring each facility maintains a compliant food safety plan.* Align short- and long-term goals with quality strategies; prepare annual budgets and business plans.* Communicate quality performance and issues to senior management and foster a culture of continuous improvement.**Systems, Standards, and Compliance*** Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards programs across all breweries and contract producers.* Oversee the company’s quality and food safety management systems, ensuring documentation integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.* Lead the development and enhancement of quality audit processes.* Review product labels to ensure regulatory compliance* Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all requirements, including recall and HACCP processes.**Performance Monitoring and Risk Management*** Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and mitigate risks; provide quarterly reports to the National Management Team.* Manage consumer complaint processes and ensure timely resolution.* Conduct site visits with Regional QA Managers to assess compliance and performance against standards.**Team Development and Continuous Improvement*** Provide leadership and coaching to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and addressing performance gaps.* Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity.* Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and create annual development plans for self and team.* Provide technical advice/ support to the breweries and regional QA teams as required (e.g., non-conforming product situations, withdrawal/recall recommendations, policy implementation/changes, audit corrective actions, identification and escalation of significant QA issues)**Skills and Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline.* Minimum 7 years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a brewery environment, with at least 3 years in a management role.* Expertise in food safety, HACCP principles, product labelling standards and quality assurance best practices.* Strong leadership skills to manage multi-location, multidisciplinary teams and drive change.* Proficiency in brewing industry laboratory equipment and procedures (microbiological, analytical, packaged product) preferred.* Excellent communication skills for reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.* Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities for complex quality issues.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).* Ability to communicate in French considered an asset* Working knowledge of statistical principles and tools.* Experience with document control systems and continuous improvement methodologies.* Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.**Work Conditions*** Combination of office and manufacturing environments; approximately 20% of time spent in facilities.* Travel required within Canada.**But et impact**Chez les Brasseries Sleeman, la qualité et l’innovation sont au cœur de nos valeurs. Veuillez noter que ce poste exige une présence au bureau de Guelph cinq jours par semaine.**Responsabilités****Stratégie de qualité et leadership*** Définir et appliquer la stratégie de qualité de l’entreprise pour optimiser les procédés de fabrication et atteindre les objectifs d’affaires.* Élaborer et piloter la stratégie nationale de sécurité alimentaire, en assurant la conformité de chaque établissement.* Préparer les budgets annuels et les plans d’affaires, en alignant les objectifs à court et à long terme avec les stratégies de qualité.* Communiquer les résultats et enjeux de qualité à la direction et promouvoir une culture d’amélioration continue.**Systèmes, normes et conformité*** Mettre en place et maintenir des procédures d’assurance qualité et des programmes de normalisation dans toutes les brasseries et chez les producteurs partenaires.* Superviser les systèmes de gestion de la qualité et de la sécurité alimentaire, en assurant la conformité documentaire et l’amélioration continue.* Diriger le développement et l’amélioration des processus d’audit qualité.* Vérifier la conformité réglementaire des étiquettes de produits.* Agir comme principal interlocuteur auprès des organismes de réglementation, notamment pour les rappels et le HACCP.**Surveillance de la performance et gestion des risques*** Analyser les indicateurs de qualité pour identifier les tendances et atténuer les risques; produire des rapports trimestriels à la direction nationale.* Gérer les plaintes des consommateurs et assurer leur résolution rapide.* Effectuer des visites de sites avec les responsables régionaux de l’assurance qualité pour évaluer la conformité et la performance.**Développement d’équipe et amélioration continue*** Offrir du leadership et du coaching à l’équipe, en favorisant l’atteinte des objectifs organisationnels et en comblant les écarts de performance.* Identifier et piloter des initiatives d’amélioration continue pour accroître l’efficacité et réduire la complexité.* Se tenir à jour sur les meilleures pratiques du secteur et élaborer des plans de développement annuels pour soi-même et l’équipe.* Fournir un soutien technique aux brasseries et aux équipes#J-18808-Ljbffr
