Develop truck and trailer maintenance skills at Manitoulin Transport through brake, electrical, emissions, and suspension repairs. Work a scheduled Friday-to-Sunday shift.
As an Apprentice Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you will maintain trucks, five-ton vehicles, vans, flat decks, and converter dollies. The work includes completing required paperwork and repairing mechanical, structural, electrical, lighting, emissions, and air system components. You will also support welding or oxy-acetylene cutting repairs when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete regular maintenance and required vehicle paperwork
- Replace brakes, hubs, seals, bearings, races, and related parts
- Troubleshoot emissions, electrical, lighting, and air systems
- Repair chassis, suspension, flooring, doors, bumpers, and rails
- Clean personal work areas and assist with additional tasks
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence at minimum
- Minimum two years of experience
- Own hand tools required
- Regular attendance during scheduled shifts
- Availability for three twelve-hour Friday-to-Sunday shifts
Build practical truck and trailer repair experience through maintenance, diagnostics, structural work, and paperwork at Manitoulin Transport.
