CMO LP is owned by Eagle Lake, Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe Nation (formerly Lac La Croix First Nation), Fort William, Seine River, Lac Seul and Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nations and Ojibway Nation of Saugeen.This partnership is rooted in the shared values of cultural preservation, community well-being and sustainable development and aims to harness the opportunities presented by the Waasigan Project.Through mutual understanding and collaboration we aim to support social-economic growth by offering meaningful employment and economic benefits for partner communities and individuals.**Job Description****WHAT''S THE JOB?**The General Helper position is critical to the success of the culinary team. In a kitchen support role, the General Helper works a variety of shifts throughout the day and acts as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. Kitchen support workers will complete various tasks throughout the day based on their shift schedule and time of day.**The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:**All meals and accommodations are providedTravel is provided to and from the site locations from designated locations in the Thunder Bay, Dryden and surrounding areaPrivate room with cable televisionAccess to Wi-FiAccess to laundry facilities and detergentsAccess to a gym and common areas**Key responsibilities include:**Maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout shift, including lunchrooms, dining room, servery, ware wash area, main kitchen and storage areasRegular sweeping and mopping of all floors, including walk-in coolers and storage areasStocking of all needed food, beverage and paper/disposable supplies as requiredDisposing of all garbage, cardboard and recyclables as requiredCorrectly label, date and rotate all products put out for serviceAssisting in food production as requiredReceiving and storing of supplies (food, beverages, chemical and paper/disposables)**Qualifications****WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**Large-scale kitchen assisting in camp settings, banquet halls and/or hotels is a strong assetCurrent Food Safe certification is an assetAbility to commit to a 2 week on/2 week off rotationA team-player who is committed to providing client satisfactionAbility to prioritize multiple task demands and organize a work scheduleMust have valid government issued photo ID for travel to siteAbility to handle the following physical demands:Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbsClimb ladders or stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsPerform work with arms at full lengthWork with arms above shoulder height**Additional Information****WHATu2019S IN IT FOR YOU?**Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 2 week on/ 2 week off rotationAbility to expand skills in a large camp atmosphereWhereas other companies are downsizing, we are growingBe #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader**Work schedule and remuneration:**General Helpers work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights,weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
