Brian is a Fractional VP of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance who helps brands navigateFDA and FTC compliance , particularly in the dietary supplement and functional food space.
He createseducational YouTube content aimed at:
- Supplement brand owners
- Startups entering regulated markets
- Companies needing compliance guidance
The content focuses on:
- FDA requirements
- Product claims & compliance
- Testing & labeling standards
Role Overview
We are looking for ahighly reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support YouTube content production, primarily focused on:
- Thumbnail Design (Primary Priority)
Video Editing (Secondary)
- This is a flexible, project-based role with batch work rather than consistent weekly output.
Scope of Work
- Thumbnail Design (CORE FOCUS)
Design high-converting YouTube thumbnails
Follow client-provided:
- Keywords
- Image requirements
Provide creative input and suggestions
- Deliver thumbnails in batches
- Video Editing (Optional)
Long-form videos:
Raw footage: ~45 minutes
Final output: ~10 minutes
Tasks include:
- Cutting mistakes and filler
- Adding B-roll
- Light animations
- Clean, professional pacing
Short-form videos:
- Create engaging, concise clips from long-form content
- Optimize for social media consumption
Key Challenges to Solve
The client has previously experienced:
- Unreliable freelancers (missed deadlines)
Reliability and responsiveness are CRITICAL for this role
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
Proven experience inYouTube thumbnail design
Strong sense of:
- Composition
Ability to follow instructions precisely
- Strong communication and responsiveness
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently
Nice-to-Have:
Video editing experience (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.)
Understanding ofYouTube performance metrics
Experience withB-roll and light animations
- Knowledge of content optimization for YouTube
Tools & Platforms
Client is flexible, but currently uses:
- Email – Primary communication
- WhatsApp – Secondary communication
- OneDrive – File sharing
VA can use preferred tools as long as output meets expectations
Work Setup & Engagement
