Langford Vets are pleased to be able to offer a 4-year residency position in Cardiology in a programme approved by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

You will be part of a strong and supportive cardiology team, working with other specialties within the truly multidisciplinary Small Animal Referral Hospital. The programme will include clinical training at the highest level (echocardiography, interventional cardiology and other specialist techniques), dedicated journal clubs and teaching time, and ample research opportunities.

You will be primarily be involved in clinical work and are expected to study for the ACVIM Diploma in Cardiology. Other duties include on-clinics teaching and mentoring of final year vet students. During the programme, you will be expected to present a research abstract at an international meeting and submit work for publication as first author. Applicants must have worked in general practice and ideally undertaken a rotating internship prior to being considered, in addition to having demonstrated a passion for veterinary cardiology.
