About Us Park Memorial is a family owned and operated full-service funeral home with locations throughout Northern Alberta. We are looking to hire a licensed Funeral Director for our Edmonton office. By providing compassionate guidance and expert assistance throughout the ceremony planning and disposition arrangements, our funeral directors create meaningful farewell ceremonies. With over 80 years of experience serving families, ethics, honesty, fairness, and transparency are paramount to our family business culture. These values will help you to educate families to make the best choices for themselves and their deceased loved ones. Why us? We have many internal supports for our directors including an answering service to take overnight calls, a transfer service dedicated to evening transfers, an admin team to assist with paperwork, graphic design team to create memorial cards, video tributes and other special requests, a primary embalming team dedicated to preparation work, aftercare specialists to meet with families following the service; and a guaranteed 4 days off after the on-call rotation to refresh and rejuvenate. We strive for long-term retention and development of our team; the Funeral Director is also pivotal in helping develop Park Memorial Apprentices in preparation for their career as Funeral Directors. We provide a variety of perks to staff such as tickets to hockey games, symphony, fundraising dinners, golf tournaments and other local events. Directors are encouraged to take advantage of the courses offered by the many associations we are members of, such as AFSA, FSAC, NFDA and CANA, and there are opportunities to travel to conventions/trainings put on by these associations.
