Senior Architect, OpenShift - FSI at Red Hat Join to apply for this remote senior architect position. You will work with customers’ engineering, development, and operations teams to align requirements with our solutions, collaborating across Red Hat’s product, engineering, support, professional services, and sales teams. The role may involve occasional travel to customer sites and can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada near an airport. What You Will Do Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA) and ticket and bug management Mentor and share knowledge with customers Work with senior associates to guide the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time‑to‑market Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods What You Will Bring 8‑10 years in a related technology position (e.g., sales, consulting, operations, development) 5+ years of experience with Public Cloud and Linux technologies 3+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes Nice to Have Thorough knowledge of network functions virtualization (NFV), cloud software‑defined networking (SDN), or storage disciplines, and DevOps models and technologies Experience with storage systems like FiberChannel (and/or FCOE), iSCSI, or other Software‑Defined Storage technologies Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and design Virtualization platforms utilizing KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization Experience with AppDev automation and pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc.) Experience with networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols, IPAM solutions, and Load Balancers (Infoblox, TCPWave, F5, etc.) Experience in designing and delivering implementations using various public and private cloud infrastructure technologies and providers Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as KVM, Physical‑to‑Virt, and Virt‑to‑Virt Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and VM lifecycle operations (ESX, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, etc.) Interest and knowledge in AI/ML technologies and recent developments Experience with hyper‑converged technologies (IBM Fusion, Nutanix, Dell Apex) Experience in Financial Services Salary range: $131,420.00 - $216,870.00 (actual offer based on qualifications) Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on factors such as job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote‑US locations, the actual salary range may differ by location but will be commensurate with the role.
