Job Description About the Role As our bank transforms toward a skills‑based organization, we are building next‑generation talent intelligence capabilities to better understand, develop, and deploy our people. The Talent Assessment & Skills Validation Lead will design evidence‑based assessments, validate AI models for skill inference, and embed fairness and rigor into how we assess potential across the employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Skills & Capability Assessment Design and validate psychometric and behavioral assessments that measure technical, cognitive, and human skills aligned to business‑critical capabilities. Translate job roles and tasks into measurable skill constructs to support career pathing, upskilling, and internal mobility. Create frameworks to continuously evaluate employee skills through structured assessments, self‑evaluations, performance data, and peer feedback. AI & Skills Inference Collaboration Partner with data science and AI teams to ensure that skill inference models (e.g., using NLP from resumes, projects, learning history) are psychometrically sound and fair. Validate that AI‑generated skill profiles reflect true employee capabilities and are actionable for workforce planning. Co‑lead bias and fairness evaluations of AI outputs, particularly as they relate to skill visibility and career opportunity equity. Governance & Ethical Standards Develop protocols to monitor and audit automated skill assessments and AI recommendations, ensuring transparency, explainability, and compliance with global standards (e.g., EEOC, GDPR). Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to document defensible, auditable assessment practices in a regulated industry. Strategic Talent Intelligence Advise senior HR and business leaders on evidence‑based best practices for skills mapping, development, and deployment. Contribute to the global Skills Taxonomy and ensure alignment between assessments, AI models, and workforce planning needs. Represent the voice of ethical and valid assessment in cross‑functional product, data, and HR steering groups. Required Qualifications PhD or Master’s in Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, Behavioral Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in skills or talent assessment, preferably in global or matrixed organizations. Demonstrated expertise in: Designing and validating assessments for skills, capabilities, or job performance. Conducting construct validation and adverse impact analysis. Advising on the use of AI or analytics in people decisions. Strong working knowledge of: AI/ML systems used for talent insights (e.g., skill inference, talent matching, career pathing). Skills‑based frameworks (e.g., SFIA, World Economic Forum, internal taxonomies). HR and workforce technologies (LMS, talent marketplaces, HRIS, ATS). Preferred Experience Experience integrating assessments into skills‑based talent platforms (e.g., Eightfold, Phenom, Beamery, Gloat, Workday Skills Cloud). Familiarity with global DEI standards and ethical frameworks for AI in HR. Understanding of workforce transformation, internal mobility, or agile workforce models.
