Instructor Therapist

Phoenix Development Centre is looking for a committed, caring, and experienced Instructor Therapist to work with families in the community (schools/homes). The clients are located across the GTA. This is an employee position RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF THE POSITION: The Therapist will facilitate group and one-on-one sessions, parent training, and manage client data under the supervision of the program supervisors. Conduct assessments such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, PEAK, & AFLS. Assist in the development/revisions of clients individualized goals. Update & maintain clients electronic binders including graphing, data collection and dissemination of information to the teaching team. Provide group-based sessions. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding clients progress as directed by the supervisory team. Utilize augmentative communication devices Commuting between clients. Maintain client confidentiality QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Required: One year experience as an Instructor Therapist in a center and/or home program. Degree/Diploma in psychology or related field OR diploma in behavioral sciences Police Vulnerable Sector Check or the ability to obtain one.
