Role description Arcadis is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Leader for Roads & Highways, Western Canada (Alberta & British Columbia) within our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada. This pivotal leadership role will oversee and drive the strategic growth and operational excellence of our Roads & Highways teams across both provinces, ensuring alignment with Arcadis’ global Mobility strategy and financial objectives. Role accountabilities Implement the Arcadis Mobility strategy with ultimate accountability for profit and loss performance and service quality delivery within the unit. Develop and oversee the execution of strategic initiatives to ensure service excellence and profitable growth. Lead a diverse team of senior specialists, recruiting, setting clear objectives, and reviewing performance to deliver program goals. Develop and communicate a country business plan, ensuring all team members understand their role in its achievement. Identify and target new clients, growing organic revenue and securing new work across Alberta and British Columbia. Build enduring relationships with clients, engaging stakeholders to fully understand their business needs and improve client retention. Coach and mentor practice group managers, service managers, project managers, and technical managers to ensure all projects are set up for success. Promote career development and manage resource allocation to maintain the integrity of the business unit’s structure. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends and emerging opportunities in roads, highways, and linear infrastructure across Western Canada. Qualifications & Experience Roads & Highways project leadership experience in Western Canada. Bachelor's or master's degree. 15 years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm. Ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose and demonstrate significant leadership capability. Why Arcadis?
