Job Title: Programmer – Game Engine(Computational Physics & AI Simulation)Location: Hybrid / Remote – CanadaEmployment Type: Contract / Full-Time Role Overview This role combines physics simulation, AI modeling, and 3D gameplay integration. The ideal candidate will help resolve physics challenges, enhance environmental realism, and use real-world and simulated data to model dynamic, responsive gameplay behaviors (such as ball trajectories, spin, and collision realism). You’ll collaborate with the development team to design intelligent, physics-aware interactions that make our Sports Metaverse and VR worlds feel more natural, data-driven, and lifelike. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex physics issues in 3D and VR gameplay environments (collision, motion, forces, and material dynamics). Apply Computational Physics principles to simulate realistic ball movement, environmental response, and physical interactions. Develop data-driven AI models to predict and simulate “next ball delivery” mechanics based on historical data, motion capture, and gameplay analytics. Work closely with developers to integrate C++ based physics engines or low-level system logic into gameplay features. Collaborate with design and AI teams to ensure that simulations align with user experience goals and real-world dynamics. Optimize performance for real-time gameplay, balancing computational intensity and rendering fidelity. Prototype and validate AI-driven gameplay scenarios for predictive and adaptive physics behavior. Document solutions, contribute to R&D on intelligent gameplay systems, and mentor developers on technical implementation. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computational Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Game Engineering. Strong proficiency in C++, with solid understanding of machine-level and memory optimization concepts. Proven understanding of kinematics, rigid body dynamics, and fluid/particle simulation. Data handling and visualization experience for gameplay analytics and optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a creative, research-oriented mindset. Knowledge of BluePrints scripting (Unreal) or C# scripting (Unity). Exposure to data science or sports analytics models for performance simulation.
