Provide personal care in long-term care, supporting resident comfort and safety under Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse direction.
As a Personal Support Worker, you will support residents according to individual care plans and established policies. Your work includes personal care, selected procedures, restorative support, and documentation. You will also contribute to safe, clean resident environments while reporting findings and concerns to registered staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mouth care
- Assist with ambulation, nutrition, feeding, and palliative care
- Perform selected procedures and report findings to registered staff
- Document resident care using software such as PCC
- Support resident safety, cleanliness, and infection control
Requirements:
- Completed qualifying Personal Support Worker program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler and First Aid certifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
Apply personal care, documentation, communication, and safety skills while supporting residents under registered nursing direction.
