This experienced Welder role supports operations for a Northern Ontario industrial contractor. You will repair machinery, fabricate components, and help keep equipment safe and reliable. The work requires industrial welding experience, mechanical aptitude, and careful troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, cutting, fitting, fabrication, and repair work
- Repair conveyors, hoppers, chutes, guards, frames, moulds, and pallets
- Inspect worn components and determine appropriate repair methods
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and manuals
- Assist preventative maintenance and emergency equipment repairs
Requirements:
- Minimum three years welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance experience
- Welder 456A Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal endorsement
- Experience repairing machinery or production equipment
- Strong welding, fabrication, fitting, and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work varied positions
