Overview Commercial Financial Analyst at Dentsu. This role is based in Toronto and reports to the Commercial Finance Manager. You will leverage analytical insights to support commercial, financial, and strategic decision-making and collaborate with FP&A, client leads, and Operations to drive performance and KPI achievement. Responsibilities Build analytical capabilities around revenue management, pricing, client profitability and margin optimization. Analyze financial and operational data (e.g., media billings, revenue by client/service, resource utilization, timesheets, client profitability) to provide insights on trends and support decision-making. Support in client profitability preparation, analysis and ensure timely follow-up on agreed action plans. Assist the commercial team in creating dashboards, presentations, and reports for senior management. Provide accurate and timely financial data and campaign metrics to third-party media research companies to support audience insights, market benchmarking, and industry reporting. Conduct ad hoc analysis, business case and scenario planning as required. Proactively seek to improve operations with a focus on leveraging automation and Generative AI. Monitor client scope of work renewals, collect relevant data and ensure timely submission. Experience / Knowledge / Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst, or related role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power Queries is a plus. Analytical with strong attention to detail. Ability to partner cross-functionally with internal and external finance teams, client teams and other business partners. Strong financial acumen, with skills in understanding P&L statements and conducting business analytics to identify variances and trends. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a multi-location environment. Ability to manage changing needs, priorities, and ad hoc requirements. Additional Information Salary: The annual salary range is $70k–$80k. Actual salary based on experience, knowledge and skills.
