Anesthesiologists throughout the province work closely with collegial multi-disciplinary teams to provide full-scope services. Elective operating room time typically runs between 7:00am and 4:00pm, varying by location and services offered. On-call coverage allows for a balanced lifestyle as it is shared among other Anesthesiologists at each specific practice location.
Physicians may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and post-graduate education at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). The University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine has a province-wide model of distributed medical education designed to foster a province-wide College. The College has a well-resourced framework across the continuum that results in quality community partnerships, successful and comparable students across all sites, elevated community health, and better graduate retention in communities.
Job Qualifications
The candidate must be eligible for or hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) or attained certification from the American Board of Medical Specialties in Anesthesiology. Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan.
