Team Overview As the Manager of Data Science and Solutions Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary team that bridges analytical insight and engineering delivery. Your team will be responsible for both the exploration and modeling of complex datasets and the implementation of data-driven workflows that power customer and operational solutions. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of analytic and technical delivery - from research and validation through integration and deployment - ensuring that work is rigorous, scalable, and aligned with business and platform objectives. This role combines technical leadership with strategic coordination, requiring strong judgment in prioritization, cross-functional planning, and team development. Set project priorities in collaboration with product, customer success, and platform engineering teams. Oversee analytic and engineering initiatives related to data exploration, model development, quality assurance, and customer-specific implementations. Ensure that analyses, integrations, and workflows are robust, well-documented, and operationally maintainable. Drive the design and adoption of reusable frameworks for analytics, model evaluation, and client-facing data solutions. Maintain alignment with the company’s technical architecture and ensure smooth handoffs between exploratory and production environments. Lead hiring, performance management, and career development across both data science and solutions engineering disciplines. Desired Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or related analytics fields, including 2+ years managing technical teams. Strong technical grounding in Python, Spark SQL, and modern data architectures. Experience overseeing both exploratory analytics and production-oriented engineering workflows. Demonstrated success managing cross-functional, customer-facing, or hybrid research-delivery projects. Proven ability to guide both scientific rigor and engineering discipline in a single organization. Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills for coordinating priorities across diverse stakeholders.
