ELECTRIC-HYBRID POWER SYSTEM PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST FLYING WHALES QUÉBEC is searching for an Engineering Professional specialized in Hybrid Electric Propulsion System Performance (EHPPS) as part of its LCA60T program. POSITION The role belongs to the Power Systems department that develops onboard electrical energy generation, distribution, storage, and management systems. YOUR MISSIONS Design a 4MW electrical system, focusing on the characterization and integration of the EHPPS. Establish models for turbogenerator and power system to understand dynamic behavior and degraded modes. Analyze performance at component and system level under steady‑state and transient conditions. Use models to guarantee performance and behavior of mechanical and electrical components. Develop, maintain and improve tools for parameterization and automatic evaluation of simulations.> Contribute to development of control loops for the EHPPS, evaluating system behavior, summarizing results and proposing improvements. Model and contribute to the development of the EHPPS control system, refining requirements for flight control computers or component controllers. Help integrate the various EHPPS building blocks through tasks such as supplier integration. Travel to suppliers (mainly Quebec, Canada, and France) may be required. PROFILE Degree in Electrical/Electrotechnical Engineering or Electronics. Minimum 5 years of successful experience in design/integration of electrical power systems. Experience in supplier management is a plus. YOUR SKILLS Very good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, or similar programming languages. YOUR QUALITIES Ability to see the big picture while delving into details when necessary. Good communication skills with cross‑functional teams. Curiosity. WHAT WE OFFER An equity stake.
