Maintain infection control standards through thorough healthcare housekeeping, patient-room cleaning, and linen distribution at Dunes Surgical Hospital. Support clean, orderly facility areas daily.
This environmental service worker performs general cleaning throughout patient rooms, offices, hallways, and assigned facility areas. The position follows established policies, standard procedures, and regulatory requirements. Duties also include terminal cleaning, isolation procedures, equipment operation, waste disposal, supply delivery, and linen tracking. Customer focus, ethical conduct, teamwork orientation, thoroughness, and time management are important competencies. The role requires frequent lifting over 50 pounds and active movement throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms, and assigned areas
- Perform terminal cleaning and prepare rooms for new occupants
- Operate buffers, vacuums, shampooers, and related equipment
- Distribute linens and emergency supplies according to schedules
- Track department linen distribution and usage records
Requirements:
- Customer or client focus
- Ethical conduct and teamwork orientation
- Thoroughness and effective time management
- Ability to lift objects exceeding 50 pounds frequently
- Authorization to work in the United States
