Senior Project Manager, Hydropower Location: Jonquière, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. This team works closely with our Québec City, Montréal and Mont‑Saint‑Hilaire offices and is actively involved in the region's development. Responsibilities Manage and carry out various mechanical projects for turbines, generators, mechanical speed governors, bearing lubrication and cooling systems, balancing and alignment of rotating parts, hydromechanical valves and balance of plant for both rehabilitation projects and new hydroelectric or pumped‑storage power plants. Play a leading role in client communications for your mandates. Be a key team member in delivering small to major modernization projects or new installations. Solve complex problems related to mechanical components in hydroelectric power plants. Identify, plan and organize client needs to assess the condition of their units and conduct power upgrade studies (turbines and generators). Lead onsite inspections, diagnostics, commissioning and testing. Represent your area of expertise and help promote it to potential clients and specialized groups in the hydropower sector. Mentor and coach junior and intermediate engineers by actively sharing your knowledge and encouraging skill development within the team. Foster a fun and engaging workplace culture while delivering high‑quality professional work. Qualifications University degree in mechanical engineering. From 15 to 25 years of relevant experience in the hydropower sector. Relevant experience with inspections, condition assessments, installation, commissioning and testing. Must be a registered P.Eng. with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or another Canadian province. Driver’s licence. Benefits Annual base salary. Annual premium program for regular employees.
