Here, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.Newsweek Recognizes Sedgwick as America’s Greatest Workplaces National Top CompaniesCertified as a Great Place to WorkFortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & InsuranceMarine SurveyorPRIMARY PURPOSE**:**To inspect cargo damaged in transit and determine the nature, cause, and extent of damages; to review documents to determine when the cargo was damaged; and to provide written reports to underwriters and other parties with his/her qualified opinion as to the cause of loss.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships and other forms of transit to document damages as they are loaded and/or unloaded.* Inspects damaged ships to determine cause of the damage and amount of damage resulting from collisions or motor failures.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* Performs other duties as assigned.* Supports the organization's quality program(s).* Travels as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.Experience Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
