Senior Medical Writer (Commercial / Medical Affairs) Medical Communications Agency Open to candidates based in the United States or Canada. Overview: We’re seeking a talented and experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our growing agency team. This individual will play a key role in developing high-quality scientific and strategic content across Commercial and Medical Affairs initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong scientific acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences. Key Responsibilities: Develop accurate, engaging, and scientifically sound content for a variety of deliverables, including advisory boards, symposia, training materials, slide decks, digital assets, and IMCPs Support both Medical Affairs (publications, congress activities, scientific platforms) and Commercial (promotional and launch support) projects Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: account, creative, and strategy, ensuring consistency of messaging and alignment with client objectives Interpret clinical data and primary literature to create clear, concise, and credible materials Provide strategic input and ensure scientific integrity across all deliverables Manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining attention to detail and editorial excellence Review materials for accuracy, referencing, and compliance with industry standards (including FDA/OPDP, client, and agency requirements) Mentor junior writers and contribute to internal content development best practices Qualifications: Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MS in life sciences preferred) 4+ years of medical communications agency experience , with exposure to both Commercial and Medical Affairs projects Proven ability to write across a variety of therapy areas (oncology, immunology, neurology, or similar highly preferred) Strong grasp of scientific data interpretation and storytelling tailored to healthcare audiences Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and client communication skills Experience working within MLR/PRC review environments Why Join Us: Opportunity to work with top-tier biopharma clients and cutting-edge therapies Collaborative, supportive culture with a focus on scientific excellence and career growth Hybrid flexibility and a people-first agency environment
