We’re on a mission to become Canada’s #1 utility construction provider, and we’re looking for a Co-op Project Designer to join our team and gain hands-on experience in utility design projects. Reporting to the Director, Engineering, you’ll support the design team in preparing drawings, calculations, and project documentation while learning industry best practices. What You'll Do Here Assist with design calculations and drawings under guidance, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Support the preparation of project schedules, estimates, and construction packages. Participate in site visits and surveys to gather project data. Help prepare status reports for ongoing and completed design projects. Contribute to technical reports for clients and project teams. Learn and utilize design software tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.). Collaborate with clients, contractors, and field staff as part of the project team. Perform other duties as assigned to support the design team. What you Bring to the Team Currently enrolled in an Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering program (or equivalent). Strong interest in utility design and construction projects. Familiarity with AutoCAD and basic design software (MicroStation or 3D tools an asset). Strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable to project needs. Ability to travel for site visits (as required).
