Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Oral Biology The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Oral Biology at the academic ranking of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be required to deliver didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching; supervise student research projects; initiate, lead and participate in research activities; compete successfully for internal and external funding to support their research program; and undertake relevant administrative activities. A strong preference will be given to candidates who hold a PhD (or equivalent) with a solid emerging record of research and/or academic accomplishments supported by publications and grant support. A DDS or DMD (or equivalent) degree is a preferred credential, in addition to the PhD degree. Postdoctoral training is considered an asset. Desirable attributes include effective classroom teaching skills, strong mentoring abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Salary information for this position for the academic year is as follows: Assistant Professor: $110,489 to $131,909 . Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is usually common and possible in the College of Dentistry. This tenure-track position is supported by start-up funds designed to enable early success in research and scholarship. The level and structure of start-up funding will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, research program, and anticipated funding trajectory.
